Fall Recipe Essentials

Not everyone has a full home barista set up, but where there's a will, there's a way. Here are some great at home recipes that can simulate your coffee shop favorites!

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Don't act surprised, we aren't that creative, okay. It's a Pumpkin Spice Latte!

I love them and I know where you can simplify the process and buy some great Pumpkin Spice Coffee (linked below)!

Traditionally, the recipe is simple:

  • 1/2 Cup of Coffee (or double espresso)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbs of Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 tbs suger (or sweeten to taste)
  • 1 tbs vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of pumpkin spice

Add the milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat. Slowly heat the milk until hot, don't boil.

Then just whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and the coffee or espresso. Taste and adjust with more sugar or spices.

 Hazelnut Mocha

A hot hazelnut mocha is the perfect substitute for hot chocolate on a fall morning.

all you need is:

  • 2 cups milk (preferably whole)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Hazelnut Simple Syrup (more or less to taste)
  • 1/2 cup coffee (or double espresso), we can help with that

In a medium saucepan, whisk your milk, cocoa powder, and sugar together and heat on medium-low heat until very hot. Once very hot, remove from heat and add Hazelnut Simple Syrup. Whisk rapidly to create foam. Pour liquid evenly into each mug, holding foam back with a spoon. Spoon foam on top of each latte. Top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and chopped hazelnuts if you got em!.
